Yeah I know it's been days or should I say months without any Delight update and most of you guys want it so badly.. so I decided to let you know how things here.
Since I promised that there will be new update/s of Delight cfw for N8 in future but only where there is any official firmware available and so far, it doesn't look really close ..
There are few mods and stuff available that could be worthy for a new update but that would not be too much and it's a possibility that few of you won't flash with it just because it won't be a huge update.. however I might work on that and release it in coming weeks.. I would love to release it today but I haven't started working on it yet..
My life is so hectic these days and I can hardly find time for myself rest alone for making a new update.. but I will surely try and spend some time on it and will update you guys how it goes..

But it will cost around 600€..
If you ever do get around to making 5.3, please consider limiting the number of saved txt messages. Having too many slows down the phone too much. I would suggest maybe 1000 received messaged and 500 sent. That's when I start to notice the slow down.

Putting a limit is never a good thing especially on certain stuff.. Well you can remove them if you feel your phone is lagging a bit cause of that or you can move them to other folders and it will be fine again, but some users like me love to have as many messages as they come .. Last time I had about 2000+ messages in my Inbox and it wasn't lagging at all..

ReplyDeleteThere is one bug: if I have in contact list phone number with country code, for example, +371-XXXXXXXX, and I receive call with this number, than I do not see caller's name, only number. But after editing number in contact list without country code, than I can see caller's name. :(

I am not sure but not most of the members are facing this problem.. I guess this problem is regional based.. as I myself didn't face this problem too.. Try to downgrade and flash again to see if this sort out the problem else I don't have any full proof resolution to this since I don't have the problem, I can't find the cure..

ReplyDeleteNokia certainly making some huge worst marketing decisions recently and I don't know why.. It's supposed to be one of their best phones and yet they are limited it to be in certain regions only and the reason is unknown.. Well in any case, you can order it online from some other area I guess, that's not convenient but that's I guess what you have to do if you want this device.
Deletelooks like i need to do that. But 572€ on ebay is a lot of money specially if you arr on a bill phone and can upgrade to any phone for a charge no more than 100€ (for the s3 for example) every year. Well need to sell the cat and safe a little than i will order it sometime in july.

ReplyDeleteAlready saw that., nothing new in that.. It's only for some region so could be a fix or something.. It's not a new firmware version else every one would have got it... It's been out since quite some time.
Deletehi soni, hope you can help, want to use the new jinhao sucks effects, but after copying them to c:data/animations/effects it overwrites them alright, but after reboot the old effects are back. Strange thing is the files in effect folder are the new ones i put in. Any idea why that is? And if i may i post the link to the effects?
ReplyDeleteI saw them so no need for link.. I am not sure if they work fine on any N8 then they should be working fine for Delight cfw too.. Make sure you first disable theme effects, replace them and then enable them again after a restart.. Meanwhile I will see if there is something else wrong with them..

DeleteNokia 808 has been released (at least in Italy) yesterday.. it works with the new Belle FP1, so I guess we were waiting for its release to have FP1 available also for N8, is it that main update you are expecting soon Soni?
ReplyDeleteYes, somewhat the same.. It will be a downsized version of that for N8 but yes, I am waiting for that update only.. So are you going for it?
DeleteNoo it cost really too much.. Well I would say that have a 41mpx camera is cool.. but as a fact I mostly reduce the 12mpx photos of my N8 before store them, to save some storage from thousands of photos where the quality is irrilevant. I may think to buy it when it will become lower then 250€ (second hand or something), and I expect it will in 6/8 months.
