Special's in this CFW:
After flashing is complete your phone will start showing you different
notifications. Let it do its work. The phone will restart in the end.
After restart, & waiting for the system to reinstall & re-setup everything
you are all set to go.
What does this mean / Why does it do that?
Simple answer: the flashing file known as UDA, which is later your C:/drive is empty. All files from there are integrated into the ROFS and they get copied to C:\ by a script, showing you some popups while moving along.
This occurs after first boot or a hardreset.
=> Shortly said this CFW is completly hardreset persistant. With filemanager + Delight Backup&Restore you can "reflash" you phone via a 3 Finger Reset on the go.
- in Menu, Tools you will find Delight App which contains our Backup&Restore solution, FAQ and other features, e.g. a MiniCMD launcher. It has an inbuild documentation.
How to flash:
when coming from Delight v1.0/v1.1/v1.2/v1.3/v1.4/v1.4.1 betas:
Flash as you flashed Delight the first time, but this time:
- Without of UDA, that means in the options window where you have to remove the red .eMMC file, also remove *UDA.fspx
- Via "Update Software" instead of Refurbish
- After first boot the Updater will start.
- Select all versions after your last used CFW version.
e.g. start all Updater scripts prompted since your last running version
Now you can enjoy all changes without of a Refurbish and losing your drive C:\
You didn't have Delight running before?
Then you have to Refurbish the whole CFW, we modifed the partition sizes so don't try a update flash from other firmwares.

ReplyDeleteDownloaded, flashed and up-and-running again in under 20 minutes. Not even official Nokia updates were as fast (or as trouble-free) in the past!
ReplyDeleteFirst observations: It's a bit smoother than before flashing (Delight v1.4), even with just the Software Update. Not sure if that's possible or if it's the placebo-effect, but it certainly feels smoother which is already enough for me :-)
The biggest problem I had with Delight v1.4 was the Music Player crashing when requesting details of the track (the ID3-viewer), and that seems to be insta-resolved. One little nitt-picking problem I had was C:- E:- or F:Podcasts not being included in the search-folders of the Music Player (Poddi downloads to 'Podcasts' automatically, but for Bluetooth-playback the built-in Music Player is better).
That appears not te be included, but I remember somebody explaining that we could add search-folders in a certain text-file somewhere. I did that on v1.4, but it seemed to only work half as it appeared to 'make' two separate libraries of media-files. Every time I refreshed I got one set of files, the other time I refreshed I got the other set of files. Even more inexplicable: ALL of my media files were in F:Podcasts, so I have no idea why the Music Player put them in two separate libraries it switched between. Did I maybe mess up something about the text-file? I'd rather ask now than mess it up again...
But all in all: Thanks for the best version of Symbian we're ever going to get on our 808PV's. If it weren't for you guys, I would've jumped ship a long time ago or at least would've not enjoyed my device as much as I have. I hope Santa rewards you guys generously!

ReplyDeleteMany thanks for your work. Flashing was as painless as usual. I have been trying to find a replacement for my 808 but you guys keep the bar high. The first thing I tested after the device rebooted was the music player, the random track button started playing straight away. Nice. Then I pressed the camera button and had a wow! moment. Camera Pro started pretty much instantly. And it remembers my setting. F**k that is amazing. My Lumia 830 sits there going Resuming.... and my Jolla phone is not much better.

Microsoft are killing off the back end services for Symbian devices and so the 808 dies a slow death. e.g. No map updates and even in the UK the road layouts change. Plus my 808 syncs my map favourites to a Nokia account but my 830 now wants me to have a Here account. Result, extra work to sync 2 sets. But Here is owned by Nokia. Go figure.
arrgh. I spoke too soon. Just found a showstopper in 1.5 for me. I use car mode with mirrorlink to a sony headunit in my car for music and navigation. I set the Music playing then go to Drive (the big buttons in CM) to use maps. I set the destination and off I go. But if I go back to Music and then back to Drive it restarts the maps app. Music continues to play in the background but maps seems to "go away" when in background. Unfortunately this is unusable and I will have to go back to 1.4 unless there is some other solution.

ReplyDeleteFabian, just got back so I can post an update. After a reboot (using the shortcut in Belle Extra Buttons. A must have for all Symbian folk. Small ad there) I can report that the problem "went away". The flash was perfect, the updater was perfect and the 808 is perfect after one extra reboot. Must have been a stray cosmic ray. Or some strange combination of apps I was testing. Don't laugh, it's possible.

Well the 808 may be commercialy died, but honnestly I'm not ready to admit it is dying for users who knows it. The time for his R.I.P. has not come yet since switching to an alternative would make a big regression for most essential needs (I tried, by curiosity).
ReplyDeleteI think the great advantage of the 808 is that it is far more network/connexion independant than newest generation phones. It is made for those who prefer private isolated and controlled data to "the Cloud". Big companies' new objectives are focusing on agregating data and they doesn't want to produce such self-sufficient devices again. They want to make you dependant on their services and know what you're doing instead of improving technology for efficient progress and liberty of use.
The 808 has a huge memory capacity (internal + up to 128Gb of removable micro-SD, USB host, easy standard connexion as storage mass...) No problem for documents, music library ("Folder Play" from 'AppList' is my favorite player) and photos (LCG Photobook is a nice album viewer in addition to the Gallery).
Such a GPS car navigator, working so well OFFLINE can be found nowhere on other mobile phones. Friends having Android or an iPhone 6 (which inaugurates true car navigation for Apple) are always amazed by 808 effectiveness in car situation.
As for connected applications I'm not worried for E-mails, Opera Mobile, ThOR or even qooWeather (despite a small fear last week but repaired now ;-). For calendar sync I switched from GoogaSync to Memotoo which is trustful.
But I agree that my only real contrariety is about Maps that are frozen and not updated anymore. If only Nokia Here could release their latest data for Symbian ! I'm sure it's not for any technical reason, but just politics. Yet we would pay for that. Any chance a petition could work ?
Well strange things happen, try to develop some native Symbian code without of unexpecting behaviour :D

Anyway I tried to put my email in again (using chrome on windows 7, yes I sold my soul to google and microsoft a long time ago, and when someone comes up with something better I will change) and it puts up another tab with just the email box but I can't enter anything into it.

"Here" is part of what is left of Nokia based in Germany (I'm an ex-Nokian with shares so have a vested interest). Nokia consists of Here, Networks and IP (Patents, hmmmm big money perhaps). My words for the divisions. But I have not investigated where the latest tablet is coming from yet.
ReplyDeleteI have Here Beta on my Nexus 7 (2013 wifi) so the offline argument which was so strong for Symbian starts to disappear. I can navigate offline on the 7 now. No traffic info when away from wifi but the maps are up to date. I downloaded 4+GB of Europe maps because Here is so much better than Google Maps, but then not many people know that.
To me it looks like Here (Nokia division) is trying to distance itself from Lumia phones (Microsoft mobile division) thus the beta apps on Android and IOS. And I'm sort of beginning to understand why Here moved from a Nokia(Mobile Phone)account (now Microsoft Mobile) to a Here account (Nokia Division). Confusing? Just a little.
I too use qoo*, GoogaSync, Opera Mobile etc. the unsung heroes of smartphone software and I will continue to use my 808PV as my primary in-car navigation and music device (the sound through USB has to be experienced and then you wont go back to Bluetooth) but the world has moved on.
I can not go back to the 808 as my primary phone but the Lumia 830 and the Jolla just don't have everything that Symbian has given us over the last umpteen years. But they do have somethings that Symbian doesn't like installing apps in a few seconds not minutes. And support from the ecosystem. 1000 clock widgets :)

I'm bored with the CM buttons now. If they can be changed I'm happy to look at doing it. I'm not an artist but I like the colour blue.

Delight also comes with the theme effects on/off port from FP1, so you can disable and re-enable them manually via settings.

1. No it's not possible on Belle, the app isn't portable from Anna because of its deep integration and multiple dependencies.

ReplyDeleteThe apps could get skinned yes, but you have to modify the related .dll/.exe via Petran and a texteditor, I think they are packed into the binaries via QRC.
The graphics will be usual SVG files.
I will check it in the next 2 weeks, I made skinning the FP2 keyboard possible this way.

ReplyDeleteI was waiting for this, and just few days ago, i flashed Delight 1.4.7pre, because i just couldn't wait any longer.... and i was eager to see if the N8 default video editor was fixed (some transitions/effect were missing). Of course, they were fixed :)
But i was having some issues with the gallery. The problem was, when i was taking a picture with the camera (the default app), and when i try to access the last photo taken a second ago directly from the camera app, i just could see only the very last picture....Like it was the only one in the phone. It got resolved eventually, after few days of usage and numerous restarts (deliberatly restarting-by me).
One might say it was the thumbnail generating process, and it was somewhat related with that...probably!
(I did a full format on the micro SD and mass memory prior flashing with 1.4.7pre, but i always format the drives before flashing, and copy the content back afterwards-mainly photos and videos in both: mass memory and micro SD, probably about 3.500. And no, it's not that much, i was using my 808 with 6.500 photos inside it:).
Anyway, i will reflash my 808 as soon i get some spare time (for the weekend maybe) and i'm sure i'll enjoy in it, as much as i enjoyed in the previous releases. Maybe even more!

I downloaded french ROFS2 & ROFS3, replaced the files in main extraction folder, and updated firmware after removing in options "emmc" and "uda". I tried twice and then even "Change Language" in Delight App, but it remains in english. Did I miss something or maybe the link to french ROFS2 is wrong ?

ReplyDeleteI started again the update procedure from scratch to be sure I was not too tired yesterday :
- Redownload & unzip base package
- Redownload & replace rofs2 and rofs3 files for french
- Put everything in RM-807 folder, remove emmc and uda lines from Options and Update Firmware
- But once 808 has rebooted, everything is in english so I open Delight App and use "Updater" to force 1 to 1.5 update phases
- Once 808 has rebooted it is always in english, and when I go to Settings it's the only one language available.
- So I open Delight App again and use "Extras / Language Changer".
- But once again still only English.
Are you sure those "02" translation files are ok ? Do you think I should refurbish ?

ReplyDeleteI checked the french file and everything is ok. The french files are inside. The ecom is correct and the boot .txt is set to french as default.
ReplyDeleteA refurbish won't change anything. Flash & Update & Change language will do the exact same thing.
soooo, once again.... something is going wrong on your side
try this:
Put a second copy of your french file on your desktop
when you get to deleting the red emmc., then click on the rofs2 and push edit
find the directory of your desktop french file
choose it
and then flash

Then I have an hypothesis to understand what happened :
The first time I updated firmware from V1.4 to V1.5 I used the special rofs3 file for "default volume" (because I don't want a too loud sound neither in speaker nor in headphones). As there is the word "France" in its name I thought it would be ok. But when I realized that it switched to english I tried again 3 times without "default volume", but could not revert to french. So I guess maybe Phoenix was remembering the first content as file names didn't change. But I doubt because translation seems to be linked to rofs2 and not rofs3. Anyway, thank you very much for suggesting this right solution.
How should I do to get "Default Volume" without loosing french translation ?

ReplyDeleteI install apps which probably won't stay forever on C:\, because I wipe C:\ from time to time and so the phone stays clean without of any garbage on E:\ or F:\
ReplyDeleteIf you have a very fast SD card instal all your apps on it, this way your data is still there if your phone is broken and the apps are a bit faster than on E:\
But don't forget that E:\ and F:\ are useless in mass storage USB mode, if you often use this mode install the apps you need during USB connections on C:\

ReplyDeleteIf you have so many images and gallery issues (the last taken image view is the gallery) try Delight App's gallery library cleaner, this will force the phone to regenerate the cache and library of the gallery.

ReplyDeleteAs you say it should work I just did another Update, just replacing the "02 french" rofs3 used for previous successful update with the file downloaded for "Default Volume" (and again I removed "emmc" and "uda") => and then the phone lost french language again.
Either I missed an information (something specific to set french and default volume) or there's an incompatibility problem. Any idea ?

ReplyDeleteOne question before I go through with it. I don't remember exactly what I did when I initially flashed 1.4 with languages, but probably just followed your tutorials. I added Russian to rofs2 and rofs3. However, now on my phone I can choose English, US English, or Russian to write in. Is there something I can do at the flashing stage to remove the non-US English version? Ideally, I just want two languages -- US English (10) and Russian (16). If there is some setting I'm missing to 'disable' writing languages that would work too.

Symbian never will get any newer maps, so Nokia Maps will become more and more outdated, using old Symbian devices to navigate will be tricky in a few years.
But I think a couple of 3rd party navigation apps still recieve updates.

So removing it completly isn't possible, to get red of the keyboard delete the en_GB.pdct file in ROFS1 or 2 (I am not sure) :\private\2003A946.ßimport\languagedb\

There's really no need of a ROFS3 if you are using a ROFS2 which uses the contains the same language.

The upgrade from v1.4.1 was easy and quick; I just had to reinstall MultiMenu 6.6 (provides automatic change icons of folders when the theme is changed) and then rearrange my Apps in the folders.

a) Use 2012.16 for the 808, otherwise you can't flash in all modes etc. without of tricks
We explicitly wrote that into the guide.
b) Simply DON'T do that, we have modded partition sizes and don't want users which mess up their phone because of that.
c) WHY did you flash via Update? Probably you did that with UDA so it will work, but that makes no sense it is very much like a dirty Refurbish which doesn't clean the phone (lock code etc.)

But of course you can use the inbuilt Backup and Restore Tool of Delight App which will save your own config.

Yes, "lost it" meant it was available nowhere and settings only had English in the list. But I think the problem was related to phoenix (my language came again only after selecting ROFS from another folder before updating). And also thanks for the default volume with french. Even though it isn't mandatory, I'll be using it for safety ;-)
By the way, this version is really delightful. Hope we'll have others in the future, especially when some future issues due to service closing can be overcome !

ReplyDeleteNow, I am having constant reboot issues. I refurbished with the 1.5 base core + UI, and writing replaced with Finnish support. Now while I have been doing all kind of things, like installing software or just browsing settings, the screen goes dark and the reboot balls appear. No idea what is causing it. No-one here seems to experience these, so it is most likely just my problem.
Any ideas? There were things on my E: drive, and those pictures and apps seem to have survived. Don't know if one of them could cause this..
And once again, I am new to this so this might be a simple thing that I just am not aware of. Any help is appreciated.

ReplyDeleteBasically I did just a refurbish and waited for half an hour that scripts and such were run (I guess they all were run, I only noticed the first one and left the phone on its own for a good awhile).
I think the first crash happened when I was just looking what is there in the menus, had not done anything at all, I think. Previously my 808 was quite rock solid, so I don't think it is any hardware fault.
I might run the gallery recreation rompatcher or whatever someone said. no idea if that helps but will see. Any other patchers that reset / clean something and could help?
Otherwise than my personal crash issues, Delight really seems to be a delight. ;) Thanks!

Thanks, I will certainly do this if it keeps happening. Now I've cleared all the caches and rebuilt gallery, and its been stable for 12 hours. Maybe it was something corrupted there. Looks good so far!!

2. Replace the English only ROFS2 with the unpacked Czech version
3. Reflash your phone once again
If it doesn't work:
- unpack the ROFS2 to another folder
- inside of Phoenix go to the flashing options
- mark the ROFS2 file
- click "edit"
- choose the 3 dots
- select the unpacked Czech ROFS2

While updating to 1.5 I selected UPDATE Firmware but forgot to delete *.UDA and *.emmc files. All seems ok but I want your word on it when you have time. Should I have do refurbish again at this point?

But it's not possible to flash with a non existing file Pasha, Phoenix is going to show an error if that happens and the flashing process won't start.
But if your data on C:\ is still there (no full reflash/reset) and the updater script run you flashed correctly, no worries.

i was so excited to update from 1.4 to 1.5, i downloaded the required files,connected my 808 to pc and clicked update software from phoenix,and forgot to remove uda and red emmc from option, while update was running i realised that i forgot it and thought i will lose all c drive,but everything fine after update c drive is intact everything is fine. Then question is why to remove uda and emmc while updating ?

The email boxes are not shown after I click the mail icon but I can delete them so they are there. I'll try to set them up again. Microsoft has recently changed policy for email and sent me a mail for new setup. I'll follow that. BTW this was happening also on 1.4 right after 17 November (Microsoft date limit to auto email configuration and support).

Sorry but that's not possible, if you flash without of removing the .eMMC (and there's no eMMC file) Phoenix won't flash your phone, you will see the attached warning popup.
ReplyDeleteAnd the UDA file of Delight is completly empty, it can wipe your drive C:\ if you flash via Update Software depending on the selected flashing usecase. To avoid this simply remove the file from the flashing files via the flashing options and it will work fine. Also this will make the flashing process a bit faster.

Sorry but which conversation skin are you using?
ReplyDeleteIt seems like your custom skin has an issue, but the original and Delight skin (you can get both via SMSThemer) aren't affected a.f.a.i.k.
This happens in older messaging mods by Cahjoss and is not related to Delight.
You don't need the updater once again, except of after changing the UI language which would require running Delight App's Language Changer which will copy all translation files to C:\ :)

Believe me fabian it worked for me without having to remove .emmc and uda, and my c drive is at was even all my settings are untouched. I really don't know much technical details about what the uda and emmc does, but im sure i haven't removed them from option. Im facing only problem after updating from 1.4 to 1.5 is rebooting frequently and im searching for what causing it,is that due to not removing uda and emmc file?

1) You can extract it by yourself from an Italian original UDA.fpsx via Nokia Cooker and UDA Apps Cleaner, it's no big deal ;)
2) I only know about the 808 and some 808s with the related issue, but did you never ask your provider or let them replace your phone to go sure it's no hardware issue?
That really shouldn't happen, it looks like an energy problem.
3) Which language are you using? This is caused by the sysap.exe mod from iChris701: http://forum.symbian-developers.net/symbian3-modding/sysap-mod-fp2-v1-4/
I can make a ROFS3 for you with the original sysap.exe and related translation file.

ReplyDelete- all patches in ROMPatcher are disabled
- the phone is in Nokia Suite USB mode
- all Nokia programs are closed (except of Phoenix)
- reboot your phone and your PC once
- use a backside USB port
- try another cable
If that doesn't help: Can you see the phone in Explorer or device manager?

3) The modded language resource files of sysap.exe are blocking a couple of popups and if the sounds get played from the popup itself (that's a feature of the popup API), they could be the reason.
But I think it's the .exe itself because you can see the popup text itself yes.

I have some problems with adding email accounts. I haven't any accounts email added before, so after upgrading from 1.4, I first tried with my company Exchange account. I was able to add Exchange Active sync account without problems, but after that I am unable to add Gmail account. After starting new account wizard, I enter email address and password, but nothing happenes, not new account is added. I deleted Exchange accout and tried to add Gmail first, but Gmail is also recognized as Exchange Active Sync.
On the other 808 with official FW, I have both accounts, one Exchange Active Sync and one Gmail and both are working ok.
What am I doing wrong?
I can`t connect to the email service when I want to set up a new email account. When I had 1.4 everything was ok. Has anyone got similar problems? I have internet/wlan connection active.

Remove all your mailboxes, insert a SIM into your phone, reboot it and create a new mailbox.
Nokia updated the backend you have to re-add your mailboxes, otherwise they don't work anymore.

there never is a need of removing the battery at all, press the power and lock key for 15 seconds instead.

Are you in 3G/Dual/GSM mode?

ReplyDeleteI'm using dual mode, 3.5g network is poor at my workplace, so my phone keeps switching between 2g-3g very frequently.
I don't use rompatcher patches from the time of moving to delight.
My phone stuck anywhere no specific app but mostly at swiping through homescreens, unlocking from screensaver(qoosaver,sleeping screen),however rebooting reduced dramatically after restore factory setting but still persist in small number.
i switch off my phone every night at morning it wakes me up with an alarm and asks to switch on after pressing yes it boots up loads homescreen and after that restarts once, after the automatic restart everything goes fine throughout day except some crashes.
I'm trying to find out the solution but no luck yet, so looking forward for refurbish(after backup) as per your recommendation or will a three button format will do the work? And thanks a lot for your your cooperation and help.

ReplyDeletesorry but the Belle FP2 camera app is written in Qt/C++ and we can't change the way how it works without of the source code. Small assembly hacks are possible for sure, but nothing dramatically.
And I think the modes are somewhere predefined in a lower lever of the camera API, not the camera app itself.
Did you try 3rd party camera apps which allow you to set more custom parameters?

Try this:

ReplyDeleteonce you have a 3(.5)G signal go to Menu, Tools, Settings, Connectivity, Admin settings, Moible data, High Speed Access (or similar) and disable the option.
I guess you are using on of the first 808 models?
And a 3 finger reset is nearly the same as a Refurbish on Delight, but it doesn't wipe the lock code.

i think i have the issue with 3.5g network, i found alot of articles about it on AAS,microsoft site ,nokia discussions etc. Now i disabled hspa, i read that every 808 have this issue when 3.5g network is weak,let's see what happens after disabling hspa...thanks for suggestions...how can i know my 808 is from first models? Anyway ,thanks for your precious help....

ReplyDeleteOK. So I tell you what I did. I had made a hard reset before flashing. Then I flashed my phone with 1.5. Sim card was all the time inside the phone. I removed sim. Put it back again. Restarted the phone. And still nothing. DOn`t know whats wrong. Still cant connect to the mail service. Something is messed up.

The sound modification isn't that simple and the related file gets loaded from Z:\ only.
There's a patch which allows you to load all sound parameters from C:\, but it requires domainsrv.exe autostart which isn't that stable (it doesn't work always) and playing with domainsrv and the sound config files can lead the trouble like soft bricks, boot loops or similar stuff.
You can do manually, download this .zip: http://www75.zippyshare.com/v/38988210/file.html
- unpack it on your phone via X-Plore
- enable Open4All in ROMPatcher+
- unpack the ParamServ folder from the .zip to C:\resource\
- copy ChangeSoundParametersPath.rmp from the .zip to E:\patches\
- launch ROMPatcher, mark ChangeSoundParametersPath, Options, Add to auto (DomainSrv)
- switch off your phone
- switch it on
The problem is as I wrote that it doesn't always work this way, if the autostart fails (e.g. after a system crash, kernel panic, dirty reboot, power problem or something else) you will have the high volume again.
We think it's the best way to decide which volume you prefer while flashing the phone, because it's safe and easy.
Of course an option in Delight App would be cool, but we can't make that :-\

Are you really using the Phoenix version from our linked flashing guide or another one?
ReplyDeleteJust download the default volume ROFS3, drop it into your firmware folder and reflash your phone.
ReplyDeleteYou can remove UDA from flashing files list and flash via Update Software, this way all your C:\ content file stay.
We linked a default volume ROFS3 in the CFW release posts, if you need a special version which includes an addional writing language just drop a comment.

ReplyDeleteAfter upgrading to V1.5 from V1.4 now I can't use mass storage! Whenever i connect my phone in mass storage mode the phone doesn't respond. Only thing i can do is remove the cable, remove the battery and reinsert it and then switching it on. After that i have to either connect in nokia suite mode or media transfer mode. Any help appreciated. Thanks!

ReplyDeleteIf you don't like the higher volume of iExtraX7's mod, rename "defaultvolume.fpsx" to "RM-596_111.040.1511_C14.01_Germany_79u_prd.rofs3" and flash it instead of original "RM-596_111.040.1511_C14.01_Germany_79u_prd.rofs3"
You always have to flash the full firmware, you can't flash only a ROFS3.
OR An "Update Software" flash without UDA is fine.
For 808 i need to use the link from this topic ( http://www7.zippyshare.com/v/18052760/file.html ) and to do the same I think. (Add this files, and language files too.)

ReplyDeletethis isn't reproducable for all other users and our CFW testers, neither after an update from v1.4 or a full reflash.
Please go sure all your patches and mods are disabled, that your USB cable is OK and reboot both your PC and phone. Also try another PC.
It must be an issue on your side (hardware, configuration, drivers).

an entry which reads "MoreSoundInLoudspeaker". Tap on it twice until a

or you can create a new EQ preset with minimum parameters.

ReplyDeleteOut of curiousity - Long time ago my 808 was plagued with an outrageous bug. It wasn't a persistent one, but it sure occurred once in a while. Basically when someone was calling me the lock screen lit up, but there was no information about who is calling me, nor there was available touch buttons to answer the call. Only a transparent lock curtain and a wallpaper beneath it, and the phone was hanged/freezed. And the strangest part of it was that the phone didn't stop ringing even after the caller hung up. It just kept ringing forever with a lit up lock screen, i swear! So the only thing i could do is to remove the battery to stop this madness...

The thing is, at that time i was using Nokia Sleeping Screen app. I'm not sure whether it was the cause of this strange bug or not. Since delight V1.4 i haven't had this issue anymore. But now that i recall it - i also haven't used the Sleeping screen app since then. Could this app be the core cause of it? Has anyone else had this issue? I really want to get the Nokia Sleeping screen back but i'm really afraid that this bug will return. :(
2) Is there a patch or mod that slightly increases the volume in the earpiece?
3) Is there a way to get back landscape mode in default music player or is it gone for good? I hate that 3D album view so much...
4) I also forgot to delete uda and emmc files before the update. The update really went on without any pop-up warning! Everything seemed ok except all apps were back in default folders and the main menu also was back to its initial layout. But the phone shows that i'm on V1.5 now.
On the whole i really enjoy using Delight ROM! Thank you SO much for your efforts!!
Put the single effect file which you like into E:\effects\, then a) reboot b) disable and re-enable the effects via Menu, Tools, Settings, Themes

ReplyDelete1) Nokia Sleeping Screen is an old app which wasn't made for FP2 and it works on a deeper layer, I think it's possible that it causes issues yes.
But I didn't use it since the first version and can't confirm that for sure.
2) The default AUX volume of Delight is around 1.5 times the OFW volume, usually people comment it's too high for them (and the can't manage to read the entire blog post to find the default volume ROFS3)
Are you using any sound patches in ROMPatcher?
MoreSoundInLoudspeaker re-routes parts of the 3.5 mm output volume to the loudspeaker, maybe that causes your issue?
SoundModTest_0.2 gives you a higher volume if you enable an EQ setting after enabling the patch.
HighLvlVolumeFix just suppresses the high level volume warning popup.
Also check your current EQ setting, if all values are on the minimum your volume will be reduced.
3) Sorry that's impossible without of the source code :-\
But you could disable the landscape mode, then the app wouldn't follow your screen rotation anymore.
Are you interested?
4) Our flashing guide and tips are just an absolutly safe and working way, what you did can be risky if the flashing purpose setting isn't correct, it could wipe C:\ while updating.
And yes the updater does reset the menu because we added more apps to Tools -> System, aranged a couple of things and added more apps into folders.

I also found some cached files in user's directory (in some app folder maybe in documents dir). That was the reason I wasn't able to update/copy new files to phoenix folder. They were copied but application still used old, cached version, placed in user's dir. Maybe you can check it.
