Yesterday MoritZ told me that the official firmware on which my Delight v4.0 is based missing some updated files which are in official EURO firmware, I flashed with it and noticed those changes. I can't say they are better yet they are latest files and Nokia tried to save some space which could be helpful in near future, thus I will have to start from the scratch and make my next update based on EURO firmware. Of course all reported bugs will be fixed in next update. If I will be able to fix Push to Notification problem then it will be in Core else I will provide UDA file with these needed files.
So have patience guys and instead of reporting anymore bugs wait for my next update. Since there is weekend coming, my update will be delayed but it's pretty fast then then my official build. So I guess it will be better. More updates are on it's way.

What do you mean by icons? Are you referring to widgets?
DeleteNext version will be without these reported bugs, crashing qml/qt apps, push to notifications apps will work fine and few others.. + few extra widgets.. You will love it for sure as I am loving it right now ;) It's still under development though so can't release in coming days. :D

the icons for "mobile data" , 'Wi-Fi' , 'Bluetooth' & 'Silent' which are in menu that appears by sliding down from top of screen.

ReplyDeleteIf you're basing 4.1 on an Euro FW, how are you going to handle fonts?! I would love to have the Euro variant of loading fonts, thus enabling easy exchange of fonts, but if you use that way of loading fonts, no Asian glyphs will be possible. So you'll have to take out the font stuff from an asian build and implement it into the euro build.
Give me a heads up on the progress :-)
I am not sure what exactly you meant by this but I just added v4.0 fonts here and they worked just fine and Hindi fonts are working just fine.. :)

Somehow I never touch them but upon installing some app or using Energysave mode initiated weirdly, I losse those settings and they turn down to minimum so I can'T set them to 2 minutes and sometimes they continuously reset :-/

If PSM gets activated, surely these settings will change as PSM settings are stored in someplace else., but once you disable it your old settings will be back.

ReplyDeleteI made last week French traduction with all .r02 files + SysApp + all widgets in french (E6 Firm and manual trad) and Nokia Maps (Content of C Drive has been copied and retrieved in E after installing the new release).
All lang files were listed via a batch file and results imported in Excel to checking.

Can you tell me why in 111.609, fonts are differents ? In your firm 3.2 I use a homemade font Pure and now it's unreadeable in main screen or in menu (too small but good in adding widgets menu). Editing 10008D5E is useless :(

Depending on how your firmware loads fonts, you may also succeed in using these fonts from C. Be aware though that installing the MS Apps package will propably place different fonts in C thus rendering mine useless independent if they are in C or Z.

nosnr60.ttf
nssb60.ttf
nstsb60.ttf
S60SC_C.ttf
S60TCHK_C.ttf
S60ZDIGI.ttf
Then scaled the fonts matching the mentioned ones:
NokiaPureText-Light.ttf
NokiaPureText-Regular.ttf
NokiaPureText-Bold.ttf
And copied the glyphs from the three mentioned ones over to Nokias original ones, retaining the asian glyphs and replacint the ones included in the Pure ones. I did copy them manually so that their respective nokia offset would remain.

Hindi fonts are in Indian variants.. Basically what moki told me was that he made default Nokia fonts as base and then change it's glyphs according to my fonts thus Hindi fonts displayed properly..

Progress is going pretty good.. It's much better then v4.0.. Nokia Drop v1.4 and Reader works good .., I haven't tested with Pulse but now I will just to be sure. Sure, have a go to put Hindi glyphs in your fonts.. :D

On Hindi - I believe I already did, but I have no idea how they look :D I altered the fonts from the product code you based 4.0 on, so those should include Hindi, as it was an India product code.

Nope, Freax is too tired right now.. Once I finish up the final version of next update, I will help him fixing up the issues he is having.. It's a lot tense work to translate my releases due to too much tweaking in stuff unfortunately for him but that's how I do.. In every update it's getting tough and tough for him as mostly in recent releases style of my cfw making is changing rapidly to incorporate new stuff. But I hope this time translations will come pretty fast.

have been acting wierd, what i mean it's constantly crashing when i'm multi-tasking and using the top bar notification... if someone have said this, i'm not alone :)
and last would be the menu setup, i really like the folder and basic apps on menu, it's so organized... but as i've noticed that every time i used a different theme "navigation" and "internet" folder doesn't adopt to the changes... hope you can look at this as well..

Qt apps crashing bug is already reported and already fixed in next upcoming update.
DeleteYour second question concerns the theme only.. different themes handle different folders.., some themes has folder icons for all default folders, some don't.. Try a different theme and it will be fine.
