Update about my phone and release!

Hey friends..

Well visited Nokia Center today and as I expected flashing there also didn't solve the problem so they asked me to submit the handset there and asked me to visit after 4-5 days.. That's frustrating and very upsetting.

Anyways, that's needed to be done so now I am without my N8 and I can't upload any sneaks or something for next few days till I get my N8 back..

take care..

  5. Hits you may use programs like SymDVR1253-5th (record video without red light), or CameraPro_2.2.8_Signed_Retail disabling the red light in options. Let us know.

Sony I would ask, is the 4.1 keep on working even in slow way so we may see it before you got the repaired mobile back? thanks.

  7. Something off the topic here...but did anyone else read about the Nokia 808 PureView (N8's successor) yesterday...41 MP(38 effective) damn I thought they would maybe move up a bit like say 16 MP...they crossed limits :P
I will so definitely want to have this one too...

    1. Indeed it's great.. However I am not sure how long this can go on since we all know eventually in few years Symbian is going to be dead.. I mean Nokia itself cleared that point. More then 808, I just hope that our N8 receive Belle FP1..

  8. My friend I just hard reset my N8@delight 3.9 and I noticed it erased totally my Mass storage (I found default inside after and 14GB free) I was shocked :O fortunately, really fortunately I made a whole backup just a couple of weeks ago cause I thought to update soon at 4.0.. omg my ass is safe this time! It's only annoying because I've to take a flight at 12AM and the all copy will take 2 hours now, I'll not sleep tonight at all.
Please test your scripts, I format with *#7370# and I'm pretty sure it doesn't touch mass memory.. but probably your script did. Please test it careful! Thanks

    1. May be you missed the text come up on your screen when you hard reset your handset with this code. I suggest you to type the code again and read the pop up again, coz in S^3, this code does format your C drive along with your Mass Memory.. So there is nothing wrong with my cfw scripts ;)

    2. Ciao my friend, I just came back.
As 14 days passed I don't remember it perfectly, but I guess it asked protection code (I never changed it so I introduced 12345) and it said that Mass memory will *not* be touched. Well, I can't say who format it, but as you said your script will delete the system folders in Mass memory then I supposed they "touched" it unconrectly.
Can you please test it again? I can do it to but I'm pretty sure I did it right and it will format my mass again. It could be pretty nice if in some way I can block your scripts after hard reset and have a look on what is happened. then re enable them and see too.
Is really harmful to lose all the mass content!!!!!! need to be checked carefully

    3. My Scripts don't touch Mass Memory and I am sure about that coz I flash my phone too many times a day..

    4. sorry if I insist my friend, flashing always was fine, just hard reset 7370 made me in trouble, could be a bug in Nokia as it prompt confirmed me that only C: will be deleted? At this point I need to redo it carefully.

    5. No, you got it wrong.. If hard reset your phone using the said code, your mass memory will be formatted as well. This is a well known feature (welll I don't call it a feature but Nokia does) of S^3.. You have to hard reset with keys while it's switched off else it will always format your mass memory.

    6. amazing.. should I read it wrong then?? at this time is possible.
Hor to hard reset without touch mass memory? only flashing?

    7. Yes, You read it wrong.. Only way to hard rest is to switch off your handset and then use three key way to format it.
